NQQK Diverter Measurement

A shunt is an important current measurement tool that can be used to measure large currents without the need for a large-range ammeter. The principle of using a shunt is to pass a large current through a precise resistor. When the current flows through the shunt, a millivolt-level voltage will appear at both ends of the shunt. This voltage is then measured with a millivolt voltmeter, and then this voltage is measured. The voltage is converted into current to complete the measurement of large current. The resistance of the shunt needs to be selected according to the specifications of the ammeter to ensure the accuracy and precision of the measurement.

For the measurement of large AC current, a current transformer can be used to convert the large current into a small current below 5 amps with a certain transformation ratio, and then use a small-range AC ammeter to measure the large current. The measured current must be multiplied by this variable. ratio is the actual current value.

In conclusion, both shunts and current transformers are very important current measurement tools and are widely used in engineering and electrical fields.
